What is it used for?
For the customer:
Eco-labels are used to identify environmentally-friendly products and services. Eco-label criteria guarantee that a given product is fit for use, and that it will have a reduced environmental impact throughout its life cycle.
The label covers both the product and its packaging.
The "NF Environnement" mark certifies that a given product and/or service is conform with the requirements set out in the Certification guidelines. There is a separate guideline for each product or service.
For the manufacturers:
The "NF Environnement" mark can be used to differentiate products in the marketplace.
